Our
Drivers
Eco Transport Australia takes several measures to ensure that our drivers are fully equipped to handle medical emergencies during transit:
- Comprehensive Training: All drivers undergo rigorous training, including obtaining a Certificate III in Individual Support, which equips them with essential skills for assisting individuals in various situations. This training prepares them to recognise and respond to medical emergencies effectively.
- First Aid and CPR Certification: All drivers receive training in First Aid and CPR. This certification ensures they can provide immediate assistance in emergencies, whether it’s administering first aid for injuries or performing CPR if someone is in distress.
- Regular Refresher Courses: To maintain their skills and knowledge, drivers participate in regular refresher courses. This ongoing education ensures they stay updated on the latest protocols and practices in emergency response.
Emergency Equipment: Our vehicles are equipped with essential safety gear, including First Aid kits and fire protection equipment. This ensures that drivers have the necessary tools at their disposal to address emergencies promptly.
Background Checks: Rigorous background checks are conducted on all drivers to ensure they have a clean record and are trustworthy individuals. This adds an extra layer of safety for passengers.
Two Weeks of Additional Training: After their initial qualifications, drivers receive two weeks of additional training focused on participant service, which includes strategies for effectively managing various medical situations and providing compassionate support.
